The day things started disappearing

The day things started disappearing Hey! You there, yes you. Let me tell you a real life story that still goes on today. Alright cut the chit chat let's get into it. I was just a normal 12 year old girl with a mini shitzu, I was going out for my morning stroll with my dog but wait, somethings wrong… Where is everyone! I stopped and thought for at least 20 minutes trying to remember if there was a town trip that i had forgotten, but nothing came to mind. I ran quickly to all of my friends houses and my moms work but yet I never got an answer. I even pinched myself about 100 times. Okay, maybe I was exaggerating. There i was, a stupid sobbing little girl curled up in the middle of the road with her poor hungry dog. But wait, I just thought of all the advantages. She rushed over to the grocery store. Nobody was there. I grabbed the big trolley with a smile on my face. I glided through my favorite isles. I was prepared for a decade! Three years later the story continues, and I'm not mad about it. I get free food, clothes and basically anything I want. To be honest, me and my dog are living the dream life.

H a k a Getting ready to do the haka gives you nerves, but when you're up doing it. It's a different story. You feel your lungs enlarge while drips of sweat fall down your face. Adrenaline rushing through your veins. The takahia and slaps have to be intime. When we're done it just goes silent. The boys slowly walk off to the back of the girls The leader starts singing and the rest of us get ready to follow. The claps, slaps, actions and takahia have to be in timeand loud or else it will be ruined.

 Do you spend time with your family? If you said yes you might not have the same idea as me.

 So many kids spend their whole day on their electronics not fitting in just a couple minutes to spend time with their family.

 Even if you have two mums, two dads, grandparents, aunt's and uncles or even just a mum or a dad. They are still your family. 

 Even though time with your family may seem boring, it is very important to cherish the time you have with them because one day they won't be there and you will regret not spending time with them.

 Family time offers so many benefits like building confidence, relieving stress, creating stronger bonds and improving communication skills.

 According to google negative family relationships can cause stress, an impact on your mental health and it can even cause physical symptoms.

 I can't force you to spend time with your family, but you could at least give it a shot.

Into the future

Into the future

 I just walked through a door that took me to another dimension. I checked the date and it’s the 23 of June 3020. I’m freaking out! It’s exactly 1000 years in the future from my present time and you wouldn’t believe what I see…

 There’s hundreds of children and adults staring at phones, ipads, laptops and TVs not noticing the world that’s going on around them. I have two options. I could save their last little bits of humanity or I could just leave and let other people's lives turn into this hot mess. Not gonna lie, I was a bit hesitant. But I decided to do the right thing and save these random people's lives. Besides, their eye strain must be really bad.

 First I took their devices. They fought back but I managed. At this point they were practically holding pitchforks at me. Everybody was infuriated at me, but I knew that they’ll be thankful later. I didn’t know what to do so I just threw all of the electronics out the window. They all gathered to the window and watched the glass shatter bit by bit. Everybody was balling their eyes out. It was like somebody just died.

 I calmed them down with some deep breaths and then they pretty much acted like nothing happened. I explained how the devices were ruining their lives and suddenly they were begging for my forgiveness. I kindly accepted and I offered to give them a TV or two and they didn’t hesitate to say no. I walked into 2020 and promised to visit again. In my opinion this trip was pretty cool. Until we meet again 3020.

Mt Ruapehu

Mt Ruapehu 

 Intro 

Mt Ruapehu is a snow mountain about four hours away from where I live. It’s a mountain that I go to every year and ski at. Today i'm going to tell you about two of the ski fields. 

Tūroa 

 Pros 

Tūroa is the ski field that I normally ski at when I go. It's closer to where I stay at when I go. Tūroa has soft smooth snow with some pretty hard black trails. (Black trails are the hardest trails.) I think Tūroa has the best view from the top of the mountain. In my opinion I prefer Tūroa better because I know the trails better. Plus, Tūroa is closest to the hot pools. 

 Cons

 Tūroa has cold chilly ski lifts, except for the one cushion ski lift at the top. Tūroa has quite a lot of rocks near the top. So if you can’t parallel ski then that might be a problem. 

Whakapapa 

 Pros

 Whakapapa is another ski field at Mt Ruapehu that I also go to sometimes. It has a big gondola that fits 10 people and the view is incredible! Whakapapa has a lot of good jumps and ramps to ski over. There's a place at the bottom of the mountain called happy valley and it’s really good to learn how to ski because it’s nice and big. Whakapapa even has this thing called a night ski where you go at night from 7-10pm and ski around the place. It's so much fun! 

Cons 

Whakapapa is very crowded and there's always a long line at the lifts. There are a lot of rocks that hide under the snow so you have to look out for them. Also the cafe there is very expensive so we normally just bring our own food. Outro Mt Ruapehu is my favourite place in the world so I hope you like what I shared with you. :)

A Demogorgon

A Demogorgon 

 A Demogorgon is a made up monster that I can declare is NOT real. This monster is the main monster in the famous show Stranger things. Let me tell you a bit about the monster. 

 What is a Demogorgon?

 A Demogorgon is a deity and a demon associated with the underworld. This monster is a part of Greek mythology. 

 Demogorgon in stranger things

 ! SPOILERS ! In stranger things a Demogorgon is the main monster that will eat or destroy anything. The Demogorgon belonged in the upside down/underworld but then a teleport from earth to the upside down opened up and a Demogorgon and Demodogs/Demogorgon teenagers got out. The Demogorgon killed a lot of people and destroyed a lot of things but eleven/the main girl in the show that has superpowers, kills the Demogorgon and she shuts the portal so nothing else can get through. 

 Appearance

 A Demogorgon has sharp pointy teeth like blades and has a plant like mouth that opens up and shows his scary hundreds of teeth. It has no eyes so it is blind, but it has a very good sense of smell and it can hear very well, like a shark. It is extremely boney and it has fingers the size of your hand. Abilities/powers

 A Demogorgon can travel between dimensions aka underworld and earth. It also has telekinesis/ability to move things with its mind and it has super strength, we all know what that is. 

And that's about a Demogorgon, pretty scary right?

This was my reading for this week, I really liked learning about our oceans and about coral and coral reefs, i found it really fascinating. I also liked explaining the main ideas in the books in videos.

Why Can't I?

Why Can't I?

The Royal family, everybody knows them. Their mentioned in my life about once a day. Well why can't I have guard's that protect me everywhere I go, or be incredibly wealthy and live in a multi billionaire palace. You get the idea. I know almost everyone would like their own public holiday and to be respected by alot of people. So why can't I be the queen? Well I think it's time to tell you why.

Queen Elizabeth ll became queen when her father  King George Vl died at 56, so since 2015 Queen Elizabeth ll has ruled longer than any Queen or King in the history of the United Kingdom. And now she is a whopping 94 years old. The royal family span goes back 37 generations back and 1209 years back. That's all I could find out but here's a fun fact, the royal crown is worth 7 million dollars NZD.

Exploring the sea

What do I see…

I see the incredibly clear blue large sea with hundreds of seagulls flying on the top of it.

I dive in and suddenly I'm being surrounded by some Galapagos baby sharks, I got so scared but then a humongous Humpback whale comes, and all of the sharks just started to sprint away. After that I thought the whale was going to eat me but then it just turned away and left. “Until we meet again whale”

I carried on and then suddenly a school of tropical fish were swarming around me, they were so pretty! There were so many and there all different colours, some have white speckles and some have stripes. I took some photos then I made my way out.

I didn’t see anything else for a while but then I came across an absolutely stunning coral reef. It was so colourful l and peaceful, if only life was like this. There were calm beautiful small fishes. There were also starfishes just chilling on the rocks.

The highlight of my day was when some dolphins came and I got to hold on to their fins and ride them. It was spectacular!

And that was the best day of my life!

Myths and Legends

This was today's work and it was about myths and legends. I really liked retelling in urban legend but if your scared of spiders then I suggest you don't read it because it might freak you out a little. I also liked doing the maths and making my own mythical creature. If your wondering what app I used I used pic art on my phone to do it then I sent it to my Chromebook. Hi everyone, this was my work for today. The topic was art and design but we were looking at symmetry. I really enjoyed reading and looking at the really cool designs Kelly Richman made, it's incredible, make sure to look at the website yourself. Exploring flight

Hey everybody! Today we learned about aeroplanes and paper aeroplanes. In my opinion it was so much fun! I really loved making my own paper aeroplane and getting it to fly and do tricks and stuff. Get Moving

Hello everyone this was today's work and it was about how dancing is good for us and about dancing. I'm a dancer myself and I do jazz and tap but I've tried all of the dances.
